Drive and Motivation

To be a successful tennis player you must be able to maintain motivation that allows you to persist through difficulties - even when you are not playing your best. It is important to keep yourself interested and have fun when you play, even though it includes hard work. Most elite junior athletes report that the main reason for quitting their sport is that it stopped being "fun." You can maintain your drive when you learn that many of the rewards that come from your sport are in the participation itself. Winning is only the byproduct of committed motivated participation.
